👷 Reason for the construction work: General refurbishment of the Hamburg - Berlin high-speed corridor

🚧 S tops to be omitted: Büchen

️ Replacement stops: Uelzen, Lüneburg, Salzwedel, Stendal

🚍 Replacement bus service: Between Hamburg main station and Wittenberge via Ludwigslust until April 30th

❌ Restrictions :

Period from August 1 to April 30:

  • Trains between Berlin and Hamburg run every hour instead of every half hour.
  • Travel time is extended by around 45 minutes.
  • Stops in Büchen will no longer be served by long-distance trains.
  • Wittenberge and Ludwigslust will be served by replacement buses (IC bus)

Period May 1 to June 13:

  • Trains between Berlin and Hamburg will run every hour instead of every half hour.
  • Travel time is extended by around 45 minutes.
  • Stops in Büchen will no longer be served by long-distance trains.
  • Now that the new timetable for the renovation of the Hamburg - Berlin line is available, the replacement concepts on the road are currently being revised. The new infrastructural conditions on the railways are also being taken into account.
